The Bronze Fallow Cockatiel is a captivating colour mutation that displays a gorgeous, light tan or bronze-brown body colour, with a silvery-white wash over the tail feathers. Their most defining feature is their bright ruby-red eyes, which stand out against their otherwise soft-toned plumage. Temperamentally, the Bronze Fallow shares the classic, gentle, and highly affectionate nature of the standard Cockatiel. They are known for being docile, cheerful companions that bond deeply with their owners, responding well to interaction and often becoming talented whistlers. Their soft chirps and melodic whistles make them a perfect, low-noise companion bird for nearly any home setting.

Tamability and Maintenance: Bronze Fallow Cockatiels are highly tamable, especially when hand-fed, and thrive on daily human interaction. They are a moderate maintenance pet, requiring a minimum of 1-2 hours of out-of-cage time daily for exercise and socialization. They are generally hardy but, like all Cockatiels, are susceptible to night frights and should be housed in a secure, stable environment. Their cage must be roomy enough to allow for flight and feature a variety of perches and enrichment toys. Their lifespan is typically 15–20 years.

Diet: A balanced diet is crucial for their health and feather condition. The primary food source should be a high-quality Cockatiel pellet formula (about 70% of the intake). This must be supplemented with fresh, washed, chopped vegetables (broccoli, kale, carrots) and a limited amount of fruit. Seed mixes, which are high in fat and low in essential vitamins, should be reserved for use as training treats only, ensuring the bird maintains a healthy weight and receives a complete nutritional profile.
