Lutino Cockatiel

The Lutino Cockatiel is one of the most popular and recognizable cockatiel mutations, featuring bright yellow plumage with distinctive orange cheek patches and striking red eyes. The lutino mutation eliminates grey pigmentation entirely, resulting in their beautiful yellow appearance. They are often considered the 'golden child' of the cockatiel world. Lutinos are known for being particularly sweet-natured, affectionate, and vocal. Males are excellent whistlers and can learn complex tunes. They are hardy birds that adapt well to home environments and are perfect for families. Like Bronze Fallows, they may be slightly light-sensitive, so providing some shaded areas is recommended.
