Catalina Macaw

The Catalina Macaw is a first-generation hybrid cross between a Blue and Gold Macaw and a Scarlet Macaw, resulting in one of the most colorful macaws available. Each Catalina is uniquely patterned with a spectacular blend of vibrant oranges, reds, blues, and greens. They inherit the Blue and Gold's sociability and talking ability along with the Scarlet's boldness and striking coloration. Catalina Macaws are intelligent, playful, and can be excellent talkers. They are generally friendly and outgoing, though they may inherit some of the Scarlet's stronger personality traits. These birds love attention, enjoy interactive play, and bond closely with their favorite people. They require spacious housing, daily interaction, and a varied diet.
