Tamability
Fully-TamedThe Severe Macaw, also known as the Chestnut-Fronted Macaw, is the largest of the mini macaws, reaching about 45 cm (18 inches). Don't let their smaller size fool you — these birds pack all the personality and intelligence of their larger cousins into a more manageable package. They are predominantly green with a chestnut-brown forehead, blue crown, and red shoulder patches. Severe Macaws are known for being comical, affectionate, and excellent talkers. They bond strongly with their owners and can be wonderfully loyal companions. They are playful, enjoy learning tricks, and are generally more suitable for owners who may not have space for a large macaw. With a lifespan of 30–40 years, they offer decades of companionship.
Tamability & Maintenance
Severe Macaws are highly tamable and thrive on intellectual and social engagement.
Diet
High-quality small macaw or large parrot pellets, supplemented with fresh fruits, vegetables, seeds, and small nuts. They enjoy foraging activities.
